Aeksandar M. Kovačević was born in Prijepolje, Serbia, in 1962. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Titograd (Podgorica), Montenegro, in 1986, and the M.S. degree in digital information transmission and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
From September 1986 to November 1988, he worked as a Junior Research Engineer at the Institute for Control and Computer Sciences (IRCA), Energoinvest, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. From December 1988 to July 2020, he worked in a military research institution Technical Test Center, Belgrade, Serbia. In that institution, he passed all research titles from Junior Research Engineer to Leading Research Engineer, and finally became the Head of Department of Electromagnetic compatibility and Environmental Conditions. Since September 2020, he works as a Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak, University of Kragujevac, Serbia. He has authored of several internationally recognized technical solutions, and articles published in the top international journals. From 2013 to present, he has been a Reviewer for many international journals. His main research interests include electromagnetic compatibility, measuring technique, electrical measurement, and metrology.
Prof. Kovačević is the President of the Commission of Serbian standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (KS N210), Technical expert for Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Technical assessor, at the Accreditation Body of Serbia.
